“the end of the world”

the good idea is one where the whole world will end.  before the world ends.  leading up to it.  there is a lot of emotional dissonance.  and there are riots in the streets.  and there are feuds and quarrels.  it is a romantic idea because that romance is all about caring a lot.  and everyone’s cares so much and they can feel that the world is going to end.  they can feel it before they know it.  because they can’t know it.  they can’t know just how sudden it will be.  when dogs freak out about storms before they happen.  and the horses run amuck.  but the people will do it too.  and they will stop using grammar. it’s already started.  like with the romans.  like with the greeks.  but it will be fore every one.  and the music will become less and less detailed.  and the math will lose its frequencies.  and transmissions will stop working.  when we speak to each other everyone will become less of a person.  we will all become sucked into a time thats stopped working.  and it will make gravity stop working.  it is romantic because that romance is all about caring a lot.  and everyone’s cares so much and they can feel that the world.  they can feel before they know.  because they won’t know.  they can’t know the sudden.  when dog’s and horses and people do it too.  slowly.  like a slow spiral.  out of kontrol.  and words will make less sense.  and the sense will make less music.  and the frequencies will lose their maths.  when we transmit we will become less. and time will stop working.  and it will make gravity.  it is romantic.  romantic.  it is romance. It is flower flower.

beach urchin

You must have been one of those really cute kids. When you were little, the little ones that win over everyone because they’re so cute. They win over everyone on the entire beach and then they go collect wet, live, starfish and snails and urchins from the tide pool and put them into that dry, small pail and watch them wiggle in their weird ways and then leave it by the rocks. They leave it by the rocks and think those tiny things in that small pail are so fucking cool and that they are going to take them home with them in the car when they go back and then they will be so interested and entertained for so long AND IT’S GONNA BE GREAT! You must’ve been that kid that everybody loved and nobody supervised and nobody ever told, no. Not repeatedly. I bet your amazement every time was born again by those crawly, bendy, tide-pool things, every time you went to the tide pool. And I bet you left your pail by the rocks every time you went to the rocks. And I bet the seagulls came every time afterwards and were so very thankful. But only for a short while, for it is a short attention span that they have too.
